Agreement

By accessing or using Smartfeed ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

What Smartfeed Provides

Smartfeed is a mobile application and website that delivers bite-sized educational content sourced from Wikipedia. The service includes:

  • A swipeable feed of article summaries with images
  • Category-based filtering and instant search
  • The ability to heart, bookmark, and share articles
  • Optional account creation via Google sign-in

Content Attribution

All article content displayed in Smartfeed is sourced from Wikipedia and is used under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 license.

Smartfeed does not claim ownership of Wikipedia content. Article text, images, and metadata remain the property of their respective contributors and are attributed accordingly.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service or its infrastructure
  • Scrape, crawl, or bulk-download content from the App or API
  • Interfere with the normal operation of the service
  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity

Accounts

Account creation is optional. If you choose to sign in via Google, you are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. You may log out at any time, which revokes your access token.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Availability

Smartfeed is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do our best to keep the service running smoothly, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time without prior notice.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Smartfeed and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
